Sara Sheikh, DMD

School of Dental Medicine, Boston University

Dr. Sheikh received her DMD from Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine and has continued education in implantology, prosthetics, restorative and laser dentistry and digital CEREC dentistry. She is also part of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, York County Dental Society and the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Prior to Kennebunk Center for Dentistry Dr. Sheikh practiced dentistry in Brunswick, Maine and Newport, Massachusetts as well as at Mountainside Hospital in New Jersey where she worked with oral surgery and special needs patients. Dr. Sheikh is currently a clinical assistant professor at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She was formally a clinical assistant professor at University of New England.

Dr. Sheikh has a twin sister who, along with her husband, is also a fellow classmate at Boston University. Dr. Sheikh is an absolute foodie. When she has spare time, she is either reading a food blog, watching the Food Network or Cooking Channel, or making something in the kitchen. She also enjoys being with her family and FaceTiming with her nephew.

Samuel Koo, DDS, MS, DMSc

Periodontist (Implant Surgeon)

Dr. Koo graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University. He completed a certificate in advanced graduated studies (CAGS) in implantology at Boston University. He pursued a Doctor of Medical Sciences in Periodontics from Harvard University. He has received prestigious awards in periodontics which includes the Fellow in Implant Dentistry at International Team for Implantology (ITI), Teaching with Technology Award in Tufts University, James H. Shaw Award for Achievement in Research and Contribution to the Field in Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Dr. D. Walter Cohen Award by the American Academy of Periodontology. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his children and traveling. His philosophy of care involves treating patients as family and educating patients through every step of their treatment.

Spencer Crook DMD, MS

Endodontist

Dr. Crook has been practicing endodontics for over 15 years. He takes pride in delivering care in a compassionate and gentle manner. Dr. Crook believes that since each person is unique, every situation needs to be assessed and diagnosed individually. Dr. Crook graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Temple University. After dental school he continued his training at the University of Louisville Hospital where he did a general practice residency. After completing the hospital program he moved to Michigan. He received his specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy. Along with his specialty certificate he also received a Master of Science degree in oral microbiology. Dr. Crook has a family of five and loves to go outdoors and relax by the ocean.
